Grammar Lessons based upon the Madinah Arabic Program

Madinah Homeschool Lessons

The Madinah Arabic program is a widely used program for teaching Arabic to second language Arabic learners.  However, I found that my children needed more exposure to vocabulary words and grammar concepts and wanted to adapt the material to the Western ways of learning which we are more familiar with.

Please note:

These lessons are not affiliated in any way with the Madinah Arabic course program or website. These are personal lessons that I have created for homeschool lessons using the book as a basis.

Students will need a copy of the Madinah Arabic Book I to complete the lessons.

Lessons and Teaching Notes

From Madinah Arabic Book I, Lesson 1:

  • Lesson 1.1: Vocabulary Lesson: List 1

  • Lesson 1.2: Learn هذا

  • Lesson 1.3: Learning ما

  • Lesson 1.4: Making questions with أ and No/yes in Arabic

  • Lesson 1.5: Vocabulary Lesson: List 2: (boy, doctor, man, student)

  • Lesson 1.6 : Vocabulary Lesson: List 3: (dog, cat, donkey, horse, rooster, teacher, handkerchief, camel)

7/19/07. Please note, I am not sure when all the lessons will be uploaded. The lessons that I have written up, except for the first one, are handwritten and so it will take me some time to turn them into electronic versions.  I at least wanted to provide an example of how homeschoolers might take the widely used Madinah Arabic book and adapt it for younger students.

Conjugation Aids

Conjugation Recording/Review Sheet

Use this sheet to record each new verb that you learn.

This sheet is for third person, masculine past and
present conjugations only. Why? Memorize the two together (third person masculine past and present) and it will help you to be able to conjugate on the fly for other
persons, insha Allah.

Conjugation Worksheet

Use this sheet to write out all the conjugations for new verbs you are learning. Includes space to write each conjugation nine times.
