Plural: The form of a word that is used to denote more than one
|
Plural |
|
(Note: In Arabic, there is the singular, dual, and plural)
Rules:
Most nouns are made plural by adding "s" to the end of the word.
If a word ends in "s," "sh," "x," "ch," or "ss" we add "es" to make it plural.
If a word ends in a consonant and y (e.g. berry), we drop the y and add "ies" to make it plural.
If a noun ends in vowel and y (e.g. monkey), we simply add "s" to the end to make it plural.
